Body Symmetry + MCHPP = A Good Cause!

Since 2004 Martha Kittle and her colleagues at Body Symmetry have donated their time as instructors to provide classes for charity! Instructors donate their time so 100% of proceeds benefit local families in need. Body Symmetry has raised over $10,000 in the past for the Salvation Army and MCHPP.

December 27 - 31 2019: (scroll down for schedule of classes)

This year, we will be raising money and food items to benefit the MCHPP. Monies raised will benefit their backpack program. This program is designed to reach students who have food insecurity over the weekend, when the National School Lunch Program is not available. Each week during the school year MCHPP will deliver nutritious and easy to prepare food to children with food insecurity. Children can return to school Monday mornings without stomach aches, headaches and other symptoms, thereby boosting participation, increased ability to focus on school work, higher test scores and less behavioral issues. Teachers, guidance counselors and school nurses will have additional time to focus on core learning needs and other critical areas.

We will also be asking for donations of peanut butter. Our first year when we made our delivery they were very excited to see jars of peanut butter. "LIQUID GOLD" they called it. So this year lets bring em the GOLD!! how many jars can we collect?

We ask for a minimum donation of $20 + jars of peanut butter-
pre registration IS necessary.

Many of these classes fill up quickly so reserve your space today! (if no one signs up the instructor won't be there)
SIGN UP: For strength/pilates classes sign up at the front desk. For Spinning clients with a punch pass, sign up online as usual. (You can use your punch pass and donate extra the day of the class) If you don't have a current pass you can either purchase a pass online, OR sign up at the front desk until Dec 23rd. After that sign up online only.

SYMMETRY STRENGTH: (multi levels- best for clients free from signigicant injuries or limitations) This new class, a Body Symmetry creation is a fun variety of pilates based strength exercises. We will focus on the core in different ways, and increase our "flexible strength". Perfect for those already taking our other strength classes, or for those who don't. Class size limited to 10.

GROUP STRENGTH: (all levels) A fun way to incorporate strength training into your fitness routine, whether to help prevent osteoporosis or to just be stronger. We will work all the major muscle groups in the 55 minutes- includes warm up, and stretching at the end for a total body challenge.

SPINNING- all levels-  55 min of cardio to energy driving music and an instructor that guides you through the ultimate ride.
SPIN-ENDURANCE & STRETCH - all levels - Endurance rides are a great way to try SPINNING if you've always been a little intimidated. We stay on mostly "flat roads" to keep the heart rate at a more even level. It's a great way to build a cardio base. Class is 45 minutes followed by some great stretching leaving you feeling invigorated for the rest of the day! If this class is popular enough, we will add it in to our winter schedule. Give it a try!

REFORMER - is a pilates class that prior experience with the Reformer IS needed - this is not a beginner class. We'll learn some fun new exercises with various "toys"

ROLL OUT THE BARREL:(multi levels- best for clients free from signigicant injuries or limitations) We'll challenge the core with some Arc Barrell exercises, use the foam roller for some balance challenges, and end with the foam roller for myofascial releases. Some great new challenges and then you are rewarded at the end - what's not to like?
